Sure there is plenty of people who heard of the chemical sparks between Joe Satriani and Coldplay. XD For those who does not know who the heck is Joe Satriani, he is a great guitarist, a composer. Easier for you, musician. He composed a song sometimes ago named If i Could Fly and eventually, Coldplay's new album's hit song, Viva La Vida contains some similarities in it. Coldplay's new album went straight to No 1 in the UK on Sunday, selling 300,000 copies in three days, concerts sold out, that iTunes ad was everywhere. So great huh? lol. For that, Joe filled his court paper on the 4th of Dec in L.A. He claim that Coldplay uses his music in their new album. Check out this short video, a very short one. Don't you worry for all those who does not like eletrical guitar's noise=)

Now using someone else’s music in your own track is nothing new, but you must have an agreement with the person you are sampling from. Joe Satriani never made such an agreement and Coldplay have come up with little response to defend themselves. Coldplay have really put themselves in it as “If I could fly” was laboured over for ten years by one of the most iconic guitar players ever.

So, lets wait for the news. lol
Good luck Coldplay
